Investor & partner overview

Buy less. Rent more.
Reuse everything.

A trusted platform where people anonymously buy, sell and rent pre-owned items — from fashion to home appliances and furniture — with logistics handled through delivery partners.

The daily problematic

People own many things they rarely use — while others need those same things temporarily

Supply
“I have things I no longer use. I want to earn money — or free up space.”
Demand
“I need something — but I don't necessarily want to own it permanently.”
Now it's time for SHIC to connect these two people together.
Today that connection is fragmented, unsafe and entirely manual.
The insight

The question consumers ask is changing

Across ten years of studies — Kantar, Smart Axiata, Wing Bank, AIA — the same pattern kept surfacing: people want access to things far more often than they want to own them.

SHIC is that research finding, built as a business.

From
“Where can I find what I need?”
To
“This is where I access what I need — without having to own it.”

The solution

Two concepts, one platform

One listing flow, one trust layer, one logistics partner network — serving two different intents.

01 · Resell
“Give it second love”
·Post used clothes, appliances, furniture and more
·Buyers browse and purchase second-hand items
·Completely anonymous — no unnecessary personal information exposed
·SHIC manages the transaction and provides the trust
·Logistics partners handle pickup and doorstep delivery
02 · Rent
“Use it, don't own it”
·Owners list items they don't use every day
·Other users rent them for a defined period
Particularly useful for
Special occasions
Travel overseas
Parties & events
Temporary household needs
Furniture & appliances

Business model · MVP

Revenue model

Commission-based marketplace: listing is free, SHIC earns only on completed transactions.

01 · Seller commission
8–10%
Main revenue. Charged only when an item is successfully sold. The buyer pays the item price plus the delivery fee — nothing more.
02 · Rental commission
10–15%
Taken from the owner on the rental value, reflecting the extra handling a return cycle carries.
03 · Featured listing
$1–3
Additional revenue. Sellers pay a small fee to promote an item and increase its visibility.
04 · Logistics partnership
Future
Customers pay delivery directly at launch. With volume, SHIC negotiates partner rates and earns a margin.
NO SALE = $0 COMMISSION
Zero risk to list. Our revenue only exists when a seller earns.
Financials

What one transaction earns

Unit economics first — volume assumptions get pressure-tested against pilot data during the program.

Resale · $100 item
Seller receives $90
SHIC commission · 10% $10
Buyer pays $100 plus the delivery fee.
Rental · $50 value
Owner receives $42.50–45
Commission · 10–15% $5–7.50
The same item can earn again on every cycle.
Boost & logistics
Featured listing $1–3
Delivery margin Post-scale
Neither line is required for the MVP to work.

MONTH 3
Run it live
Real sellers, real buyers, real deliveries in Phnom Penh — measured end to end.
DEMO DAY
Show the economics
